Monique Vallée is the Chair of the Executive Committee of the Commission scolaire Marguerite-Bourgeoys (CSMB) since 2010. As well, since 2007 she has been a member of the Ethics and Governance Committee and involved in the review committees and staff selection of the CSMB. Since 2008, she has served on the board of CEGEP André-Laurendeau as a representative of the schools boards. Elected twice as councillor in Ville LaSalle, from 1995 – 2001, Ms. Vallée also chaired the emergency measures department for Ville LaSalle. The city was awarded the Merit Quebec Civil Safety twice for the establishment of an industrial emergency preparedness committee in 1998 and for the organization and the quality of shelter during the ice storm in 1998. Ms. Vallée is also the first woman to be elected Governor of the Club Richelieu Montreal in 1995.
