Pierre Gagnier has been Mayor of Ahuntsic-Cartierville since 2009. He holds a seat within Montreal’s Metropolitan Community (CMM) and joins in the work at City Council as an independent member. He also presides the borough’s Urban Planning Committee.

As an experienced politician, Pierre Gagnier has represented the citizens of Cartierville at City Council between 1990 and 1998. Locally, he has always been involved within the community. He has held seats on the board of many different community groups and has trained sport’s teams within the Salaberry Sports Federation. Pierre Gagnier has also been responsible of a non-profit second-hand clothes store in Cartierville.

An astute businessperson, Pierre Gagner has launched and directed a number of businesses. Family values are at the top of his priorities. He is part of a family of 10 and is today the grandfather of 11 grandchildren.

• Pursue a development plan for the Rivièredes-Prairies shoreline and protect our parks, natural spaces and plant cover

• Use internal resources to rebuild our infrastructure

• Ensure the fluidity of traffic on residential streets, while protecting at all times the safety of pedestrians
